Tissue clearing and light sheet imaging workshop.
Frankfurt a.M.
December 4th - 6th, 2017












At a glance

This 3-day course involves morning lectures and several morning/afternoon practical sessions in small groups (5 people) concerning tissue volume immunostaining, clearing, use of light sheet microscope and Imaris software.
We designed this workshop for an intense training on different aspects of clearing, light sheet imaging and data processing. A total number of 12 teaching staff members (speakers and supervisors) for 15 participants may guarantee a successful knowledge transfer for boosting your research projects.

Practical module organic solvent clearing (OS)
This part of the workshop will be guided by Sylvaine Guerit and Simon Merz. They will focus on the differnet DISCO protocols and ECi clearing.

Practical module aqueous buffer clearing (AB)
Rebecca Gentek and Abel Pereira da Graca will give an introduction into different aqueous buffer based clearing protocols.

Parctical module light sheet imaging (LS1 & LS2)
Bernd Müller-Zülow and Uwe Schröer will introduce the light sheet imaging system.

Practical module data processing (DP1 & DP2)
Michael Mahlert will introdcue the Imaris software.

Venue
Workshop is taking place in the conference and meeting center "Hoffmanns Höfe" and vis-à-vis in the Edinger Institute.
For workshop participants we have pre-reserved a certain number of hotel rooms in Hoffmanns Höfe. The accommodation is not included in the attendance fee.

It is intended to create a constructive and intense learning atmosphere. For this reason the number of participants is limited to 15; on a first come first serve basis. We kindly ask to complete the registration form below.
Deadline for registration: October 18th, 2017
Registration cost is 280 € / participant*. Payment can be done by wire transfer. Accepted applicants will be notified about payment details.


*Includes all course materials and reagents, coffee, two lunches (Dec 4 and 5), and one dinner (December 5) in downtown restaurant. Does not include costs for accommodation.
